internet crush // studio diy

i’m starting a new series today all about my favorite ~internet~ people! most of my day’s thoughts, feelings, time, etc etc etc, are spent scrolling through instagram and twitter, checking in on all of my favorite writers, bloggers, photographers, and all the other people that put ~quality content~ out there. i don’t watch much reality tv, but i do make sure to keep up with all of the instastories, which is kind of the same thing.

my number one internet crush, who is actually one-third of my favorite instagram family, is kelly mindell of studio diy. if you aren’t plugged into what kelly and studio diy are doing out there, we definitely don’t run in the same internet circles. but have no fear, cause i’m going to tell you all about her right now!

kelly started studio diy many years ago as a diy blog, and today, it has grown into a one-stop shop for color inspiration, diy and design ideas, #familygoals, and a super fun product line. just take a look at her PERFECT instagram feed. what a dream.

my favorite thing that they're doing right now is the can't clutch this subscription, where a fun, colorful new clutch shows up in your mailbox once a month. the clutches are always the perfect theme, something trendy and cute from instagram, that she turns into a clutch perfect for happy hour, the pool, and taylor swift concerts. the ideas that she comes up with are the same ideas i would have if i were better at being a person.

here are some of my clutches in action! {the pool clutch is my favorite because the colors are so dreamy and it gives me major polly pocket vibes with the little pin ladies.}

do i need this many clutches? probably not. do i absolutely want all of them every month? YES. kelly has shown some behind the scenes processes of creating these clutches and the hard work and detail that goes into each one makes me so happy to support it.

in the past year and a half or so, kelly and her husband jeff, who is the photographer for all things studio diy, adopted their son arlo, the most well-dressed baby in the world who lives in the most colorful and perfect bedroom in all the land. when i said #familygoals up there, i wasn't kidding. they also bought a house in los angeles and have taken us along for the remodeling and redecorating ride. the color in the insta-feeds is everpresent in their home and closets, so there is home decor inspiration aplenty!

{here's jeff and i at a meet & greet at sugarfina in dallas. he was such a joy to chat with!}

basically, kelly and jeff are two amazing people, working hard at building a color-filled empire that makes people like me who love bright, colorful spaces and outfits feel normal and accepted. it would be super easy to hate them because not only are they living my dream life as bloggers-turned-businesspeople, but they're also younger than me, which is, frankly, pretty rude. but i don't hate them at all! this little family, and everything they're creating, is a real bright spot in my day each day. go follow them and let them be the same for you!
